Yesterday we had a massive fundraiser for our year 6 and year 7 camp next year.
I was in one of the performances, I was not nervous at all because I was in the back line.
The best part was seeing my other friends dancing with big smiles on their faces.
The most nerve racking part was dancing in front of people, some I knew and some I didn't.
My mother did a hard job of selling the samoan food, but she didn't see me perform.
It was the most best times I ever had!
I am a Year 8 student at Tamaki Primary School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 9 and my teacher is Ms Komor.

Mai Fm morning Show
Today we had a Duffy role model assembly. Our role models were Nate and Lily from the Mai Fm morning show. 4 key messages I learned were...
1.As Well as playing games, read books so that you can be a future role model.
2. Reading and travelling helps you to learn about other cultures and places.
3.If you read a lot it will help you learn more, you will have more options in your life.
4. Reading can help you to think of and find a dream job.
I admired the way Nate had travelled to the UK to watch the World Cup and meet the Famous rugby players teams!
It was a Fantastic Assembly.

Adam from Sommerville
Today we had Adam from Sommerville come and join us for Art! We were making shark art, after reading "The Great White Man-Eating Shark" by Margaret Mahy. Adam really enjoyed doing Art with us. He was going to stay for five minutes but he ended up staying for half an hour!
We loved having Adam with us. He is now part of or Room 9 family.
Shark Art-Work
Here is a piece of art work that I have completed.
The art work is based on a story by Margaret Mahy.
The things around it are the things that my shark is eating.
It is tongan language week so I have written them in Tongan.
Pleas leave a comment!
Many thanks!
