Manea @ Waikowhai Primary School Blog Commenting

IALT: Comment on the blog of a student from Waikowhai Primary School.

The student that I chose to comment on was  a girl named Manea. Although she is a Year 6 student she has the potential to achieve many great things that will help her later in life. She blogged about the Chocolate Factory in Dunedin, she founded it and facts about it. I was shocked at some of the facts because I didn't know about them and never heard of them before. There was also one fact that made me really think about why I eat chocolate, according to her blog post Chocolate is good for you... Here is my comment:

In her post she said that Chocolate has an antibacterial affect on the mouth and protects against tooth decay. I was really blown away because at times I hear that people said that Chocolate isn't good for you because it is too sweet, and therefore you will always want to eat it as sugary things , once touched by your tongue sends a signal to your brain, saying it's sweet. Does this mean I should eat Chocolate more? 

Chocolate is a typically sweet, usually brown food preparation of cacao seeds, roasted and grounded. I am not going to risk eating more then I am now because it might turn out to be wrong and start making more damage to my teeth. My favourite company for making chocolate is Whit-takers, my favourite flavour of chocolate is Dairy Milk, because it's just the combination of chocolate itself. 

I can't wait to comment on more blogs from Manea, because I find them very interesting indeed. I know I will learn things from here because she has still 2 more years to go before she heads off to college.

Mubashshir @ Pt England School Blog Commenting

IALT: Comment on the blog of one of my Quad Blogging partners. 

Mubashshir is a year 8 student at Point England School. His most recent blog post was on the 22nd of June 2017. It didn't matter when he last posted but what he posted. His blog post was about him and a few other of his mates merging together to design Chromebook holders to prevent any more wires getting tangles together, the whole point of the holders it to keep it clean and tidy, not to mention, sometimes when wires are all stuck together it wastes time, time that can be used to learn critical things.


He also said in his description to comment down below and see wither you agree with his project. As he had no comments, I decided I would be the first. 

As a year 8 student I told him to add in more description because well it wasn't specific enough but I know he will do a great job on completing his project as he has friends alongside him who will help him. I think that his project is a fantastic idea as sometimes the wires in my class get messy and look like noodles, every time you use the cupboard last you have to close it to ensure that our working space doesn't reflect who we are as smart learners.

Xavier @ Saint Patricks School Blog Commenting

IALT: Talk about what I did and learnt while commenting on my quad blogging partner's blogs. 

It has been a long time since I last commented on one of my quad blogging partner's blogs so now before I go off to bed, I think this is the right time as I have nothing left to blog about. The person I chose to comment on is a boy from St Patricks; Xavier. The last time he blogged was today , his post was about New Zealand winning the Auld Mug after 14 years of losing. For me it was a great time to read his post because I know little about the race, but have only watched it and read about it on the internet. 

Something I knew was that New Zealand won, beating the USA team 7-1 in a series, which to me is Amazing and to me a 'World Record' It's great to here Xavier blog about this, here is my comment:

Something I learnt from him was that America was the Mug 28 times, it costs New Zealand $2 million dollars to enter the race and that it costs $5 million just to buy the winning yacht. I couldn't believe what I read , and it was great to read something I know little about.

A challenge I found, was re-writing what I read. Although I know it's true, I still think about how New Zealand did it, and managed to bring  it home.

This is yet another one of my blogging rubrics but for a different blog post. I chose this post from this year and therefore I have put it under Smart Learner. Same as the first one I didn't quite get all the things achieved, but I still yet to. This post was about the Waikato Chiefs winning the Brisbane 10's in memory of past Sione Lauaki. 

A challenge I found was making sure everything was ok and didn't go out of the blogging boundary. Next time I should be able to do it easily as you can't get an HTML link of a Google Document.

Tiploma @ Waikowhai Primary School Blog Commenting

IALT: Comment on the blogs of those from Waikowhai Primary. 

Reading through the blog post of Tiploma from Waikowhai Primary it looked like he was having a great time sharing his work with the world! Though he is a Year 6 student I know he has the potential to do many good things, and he will continue to do his best in all areas of school learning. I scrolled through his blog, and came across one where it said '5 times tables' as Maths isn't my favourite subject I still commented and told him about, me growing up and not liking Maths because sometimes it was too hard. 

It was great to see some Maths work from other students because it makes me wonder what they learn and how they do it. For me personally 5 times tables aren't very hard, but others are. Another student left a comment so I did to : 

His effort and creativity was mind blowing. He put in pictures and really went detailed with his explanation. I asked if he could move on to 6 times tables and so fourth. I have set a goal to comment on all his classes blog to show that our school is very supportive and will do anything to help others thrive and follow the right path. 

 I didn't find anything challenging, but enjoyed commenting on his blog to help continue to lift his spirit and creativity.
