Scoreless Game Leaves Crusaders Thinking

I am learning to write about the British and Irish Lions vs Crusaders Head to Head Match on Friday night.

On Friday night the Lions had managed to overskill the undefeated Crusaders in a scoreless match. None of the sides managed to score a match, which to me was surprising as I thought the Crusaders would have thrashed the Lions miles away, but when the full time whistle went I was astonished at how much skill the Lions had improved which meant this was their 2nd game victory in their tour. With the only loss coming to the Auckland Blues. The Lions enjoyed the majority of Possession and Territory against an in-accurate Crusaders side. In the first 20 minutes the Crusaders alone gave five turnovers, five penalties and missed three line-out opportunities at AMI stadium.  They led the Crusaders 9 - 3 at halftime.
The second half was the same with the Lions putting pressure on the back three. The Crusaders tried hard to fight back and break through the Lions defence but they couldn't. The Crusaders yet gave another Penalty giving the Lions another easy three pointer. The Lions managed to keep up their defence, putting the Crusaders though their worst game ever this season. The British and Irish Lions have changed their game style after their loss to the Blues giving them the skill they needed to overcome the undefeated team this year.

My Opinion:

I never thought the Lions would come back and beat the Crusaders as I thought the Crusaders would still have their 14 winning streak. But I was wrong, the Lions deserved this win, learning from their mistakes and taking those as lessons of what not to do, and what to do. I don't feel the Crusaders were at their best as they didn't have one of their key players, Ryan Crotty, as he had an injury. I hope the Crusaders have learnt from their mistakes and will not make them again in their next game.

Patrick Tuipulotu DROPPED From Blues Squad

IALT: Write about Patrick Tuipulotu being dropped from the Blues Squad after being late to training.

Blues Lock Patrick Tuipulotu has missed his chance to show in the Blues vs Lions game tonight. He failed to contact Blues Management that he was going to be late to training at their Alexandra Park Headquarters on Monday. The failure to make the starting line-up ahead of Gerald Cowley Tuioti and Scott Scrafton itself raised eyebrows. Tuipulotu place was replaced by Jimmy Tupou after what has been described by the Blues as a breach of team protocol, would have added significant impact from the bench, but coach Umaga clearly decided the 24-year-old didn't have the consistency in form needed to displace either Cowley-Tuioti or Scrafton.

This isn't his first time Tuipulotu has found himself at odds with the Blues management this year. But whatever reasons behind his breach, the fact that he won't get a chance to play in this unique match, and stamp his own name in History, will be hugely disappointing to himself and Umaga.

For me I think that this is a clear example of a person not looking ahead of themselves, and not being able to be responsible for their actions. In my class we have been learning about Responsibility, Honesty and Integrity, this is a good example for Responsibility. If I were this person I wouldn't be too ashamed but let this be a lesson to contact if your going to be late and always try and make an effort to turn up to training early. The Blues squad will look different with Patrick, when he is at his best he is a dangerous  ball carrier and defender.
