Samoa

Beautiful Samoa…

Samoa is a country in Oceania, it is set in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Living in Samoa is very different here in NZ. For instance, some houses in Samoa live with no doors or windows How do I know this? Well I asked my grandfather for knowledge on how living in Samoa is both good or bad? Samoa is where I originate from. My mother grew up in Samoa, but my grandfather had decided to shift my family over here to New Zealand. Finding a better education for his kids, including my uncles and aunts, he has learnt to speak English fluently. Growing up in the Islands my grandfather and my grandmother owned their own shop… Explaining why they cook such delicious food. Growing up I sometimes ask myself What if I grew up in the Islands?

Please leave a comment! This is a story explaining why I adore Samoa, beautiful beaches make it a dream!

My Fav Sport

Here is a story about why Rugby is my favourite sport.
"Rugby gave me a confidence. I was quite shy and relatively timid, but it gave me the confidence to be a little bit more out-going and back myself a bit more.

Matariki

Matariki marks the start of a new year, 7 bright stars glow brightly over the rest, bright as the crescent shaped moon that sends beams of light drowning the darkness.

Matariki lasts for 3 days, during that time people celebrate it all over the country, fireworks attack the midnight sky, as a show to entertain people.

Maui, a Maori ancestor, named the stars “Matariki”. From then on Matariki is what we use today, after 3 days we will never see Matariki until the following year…

We wish the stairs will shine brightly again.

Here is a short story about Matariki,
Matariki resembles the start of a new year.
