Crusaders Spectacular Comeback After Being Down By Halftime.

IALT: Write about the Crusaders amazing comeback to defeat the Highlanders 30-27.

An amazing 77th minute try by Seta Tamanivalu gave the Crusaders an advantage to take possession of the game before the fulltime siren went. The visitors shocked the crowd by scoring three tries in the final 15 minutes and earn a win that had appeared unlikely for the entire match. It wasn't just that the Crusaders were trailing way behind, 21 points, but after those three tries that were scored by the Highlanders and gave them a 27-6 lead, they Highlanders collapsed under the weight if unrelenting pressure from the opposition and shipped 24 unanswered points in the final half hour.

The Crusaders formed a formidable opposition-there was no doubt about that- but the four tries they scored in order for them to win the match were indicative of an opposition wilting under the strain. Which is rather a typical of the recent vintage of Highlanders, who won a title and backed that up with another playoff appearance by grinding out games they allowed opposition to dominate.

As usual, the southern side were content throughout the game to allow the Crusaders to string together multiple phrases. They kicked consistently and contested well in the air. And they tackled with real menace to force timely turnovers and prevent the opposition from threatening to find the line in the first half. And, when they did have their hands on the ball, the Highlanders produced moments of real quality size to seize command of the match.

The first, from a lineout, saw Waisake Naholo slip an inside ball for substitute Gareth Evans to race clear and score the game's first try. The second, from a scrum, was finished by the wing himself, collecting a clever Aaron Smith grubber while making the most of a friendly bounce and some anonymous defence.

But all the pressure they were being forced to face gradually its toll, as a number of infringements in their own 22 allowed the Crusaders back into the contest. A penalty try - automatically seven points under the new rules - gave the visitors some hope and that increased when David Havili crossed in the corner. The Highlanders were suddenly sweating and a yellow card to Malakai Fekitoa only added to their nerves. And they were soon proven right to worry, as Whetu Douglas pulled the Crusaders within two points before Tamanivalu landed the dagger blow.

Overall, I think that the Crusaders showed some really good resilience and never gave up, you see when you try your best and never give up you can get something very special and for the Crusaders their special thing was their win over the Highlanders. The thing that impressed me the most was that the Crusaders were trailing 17-6 at halftime, but with their precise plans of defense and offense they managed to pull off the win.

The Highlanders did a great job of defending their line but the Crusaders out maneuvered the Highlanders and managed to score a try that put them in the lead just before the fulltime siren went. My uncle Siua Halanukonuka played in the game but for the Highlander side. He plays at tighthead prop and his number was 3. I hope to see him next time when the Highlanders face another team, and at that time hopefully pull off the win.

I enjoyed writing about this article because one of my family members were included by sadly his team lost. A challenge I found was not being able to witness the Highlanders win.

Stabbing in Katikati, Bay of Plenty

IALT: Write about a stabbing situation in which took place in Katikati, Bay Of Plenty, Auckland.

A police spokesman said emergency services were called to a residential address on Hot Springs Rd at 7.05pm.

A person is believed to have been stabbed in the local area of Katikati, Bay Of Plenty this evening at around 9:15pm. A spokesman from the Police said emergency services were called to a residential address on Hot Springs Rd at 7:05pm. At least one person, was taken to the hospital and Police don't know what kind of status that person is in. I hope that the person isn't injured to much and can heal fast and be reunited with her/his family. If not I wish her/him all the best for their recovery.

Police were talking to witnesses at the bloody scene. No-one has been taken into Police custody at this stage. Further information was not immediately available and St John Ambulance could not be reached to clarify the seriousness of the person's injuries.

To me I think that this isn't a really good way to post up something that the whole world can view, I don't mean about the incident but just how NZ Herald wrote this article. It doesn't give the reader specific information, for example we don't know if it's a female or male, how old the person is and why did the stabbing occur. If I were in the NZ Herald I wouldn't post up an article that is only 2 paragraphs, I would wait until I have enough critical thinking information until I would post it on the internet.

Just hearing about this stabbing incident makes me think 'What are the people of this world coming too' I hear stories about people dieing from other people, or committing suicide because of other people. I think it's time people start minding their own business and worry about themselves because one day many people these days might become criminals and think back and ask themselves 'What was I doing?"

Overall, I think that NZ Herald news, need to take some more time and wait for more information to come because this information isn't specific enough. But at the same time it's really good because I got the chance to thinking outside of the 'box' and make up what I thought if I was working for the NZ Herald. A challenge I faced was not being able to have a lot of secure information and evidence that shows my understanding of this article.

HeadHunter members sentenced in Rotorua!

IALT: Write about why Headhunter gang members are being sentenced in Rotorua.

Three Headhunter gang members have been sentenced to community detention for charges laid in the wake of the kidnapping and extorting property from a wealthy businessman at Rotorua and Taupo. When a lengthy trial of nine of the gang in the High Court at Rotorua concluded in December, two of those nine were found guilty of robbing the businessman's girlfriend of her cellphone in Tauranga. Liam John Kane was also convicted of unlawfully possession of a firearm.

In the same court, Justice Timothy Brewer sentenced Dwyer to six months' community detention. Gunning to four months and Kane to three months plus 100 hour's community work. "Your are not a bulletproof, you are a Headhunter" said Brewer for Gunning. They are about major drugs and sometimes violence. Do you want to be in a situation where you might be facing up to ten years in prison?

The three men were the only ones of nine gang members found guilty of any of the more than 100 charges laid following the businessman' alleged kidnapping at the beginning of 2015. The other six were acquitted a month-long trial last year. The Crown claimed the gang kidnapped the businessman and his young employee and attempted to extort cars and properties from businessman after he slept with Dwyer's partner.

Overall, I think that this article has changed my perspective on gangs as one of my uncles are in this gang. People might think that gangs are cool and strong, but when you read about their history you might change your thoughts and think "Is this true?"  Luckily my uncle is one of those people who go and do things that criminals would do. His name is Mounga some other uncles of mine hang around the Head Hunter gym "Fight Club" Siate,David,Chris,Tevita,John,Siua, etc. Whenever I see them, they wear clothes that have the Headhunter sign, motto, and patch.

To me I think that those who join gangs should have a look at their history and make the right choice of not joining the gang. But it's not my choice. It's shocking to hear that some people of the local gang have been committing dangerous things, it's like they want to get caught and sentenced to jail!

I enjoyed writing about this article because one of my family members are in this gang, a challenge I found was trying to put in more information because the article didn't give much information so  had to extend on it , in order to make it better for you veiwers.
