Today we had a "Role Model" Assembly, we also had a special guest come in and visit our school! His name is Myron Simpson!!! It was nervous for me because I was hosting our assembly, when Myron first walked through our door... I was amazed! He was carrying his racing bike, and other special equipment that he uses when he races others. He first told us about his life, he has won a Silver and Gold medal! His favourite 5 countries that he has visited were:
1. Spain
2. Italy
3. Frances
4. New Zealand
5. Brazil (Rio Olympics)
Along his journey he got to meet some legendary people! He met All Black Retired Captain, Richie McCaw, Lisa Carrington, Eric Murray and Hamish Bond! Lisa Carrington is the first female athlete to win 2 medals! And Eric Murray and Hamish Bond won gold in their sprint!
The highlight of his visit was being able to wear one of his medals, of course, I wore the GOLD!
