King Tut Day Celebration

I am learning to reflect on the celebration King Tut's Day.

Did you know that the entrance to King Tut's tomb was discovered by Howard Carter and his crew on November 4th 1922? Since their discovery King Tut was one of the greatest archaeological achievements of the 20th century, and remains a huge attraction well into the 21st.
The least we can do is take a day to honour it. History for the WIN!

Now almost a century after Carter's discovery and more then 3,000 years after King Tut's death, the boy king is still making headlines. While King Tut continues to be shrouded in mysteries, here are a few verifiable facts to ponder on this day which is dedicated to him:

Tut's dad stirred the Pot, Athena, tut's father, became one of Egypt's most controversial pharaohs when he renounced all Egyptian gods except Aten and moved the powerful Egyptian capital from Theses to the dual outpost of Amarna, about 150 miles south.

When Athena died, 10-year-old boy Tut became ruler of an Egypt rife with an internal conflict and foreign unrest, largely his father's legacy. Some experts think that the pharaoh was murdered by members of his own court.

Here is my reflection about the 10 year old Egyptian King Tut.
He became king at the age of 10 after his father died, experts believe he was murdered by his own court.
I found searching up information about this celebration because I didn't know who King Tut was until now. Something I found challenging was getting the key information...
My next learning steps is to skim and scan for key information.

Many thanks!
