IALA: Two Canadian guys taking a selfie with a bald eagle!
Brothers Neil and Michael Sudbury were out hunting grouse in the woods when they noticed something moving in the woods. They moved in for a closer look then noticed a Bald Eagle, with one of it's talons stuck in a trap. The size of the bird was huge, but it remained pretty calm. It was tired from fighting the trap trying to get it's weapon free. Fletcher had an idea of taking off his jacket and using it as a shield and blanked to protect them and support the bird. After many attempts they finally managed to wrap the jacked around the bird and prevent it from moving, they then freed it's talon from the trap.
Fletcher had set up his phone for the rescue, then his brother had an idea. 'Oh grab your phone, we should take a selfie'
This is the result:
Two smiling boys with a bald eagle
'Everyone thinks it's like the selfie of the year' Fletcher said.
The eagle's eyes were remarkable when seen up close. 'There's something about them' he said. Amazing. Then Neil took a few steps and released the bird. As for their hunting trip, the brothers went home empty handed.
What do I think about this article?
WOW! I am stunned, amazed and shocked. Not only is this a dangerous animal, capable of carrying prey more then twice it's size, it's remarkable to hear that the animal didn't bother to injure both males as they were really close to it, managing to get a rare photo with the huge beast. Bald Eagles, are one of my favourite flying animals, but also have a bad temper attacking planes going by as they fly to lose to the animal's nest. Did you know the Bald Eagle has been the national emblem of America since 1792? There's no wonder why this is a well known eagle, because they can be sometimes tamed and handled with extreme care.
